I am in a city where the highest paying jobs pay LESS than the lowest paying jobs online. So I am looking into the brave new world of online teaching. I taught in a live classroom for 6 months in Asia(and have a BS+TEFL), but I have NEVER taught online before.

I have examined and read all of the previous posts on "online teaching" in this forum, but I still have many unanswered questions:

(1) Is there anyone currently working online for a reputable company other than "ABC tutoring"?

I want to work for a company rather than independently, as I have only limited experience in online marketing/website design/promotion/SEO, and I am looking for at least 20hrs/week guaranteed work. Besides, I am quite keen on receiving some training that various online schools seem to offer as part of the employment package

But I am also VERY wary of putting in a months worth of classes only to find out that I am not going to be paid, and that I have absolutely no recourse.

(2) Can anybody help direct me to solid resources and websites to help me construct initial lesson plans and additional materials?

(3) I found an online school advertising a significantly higher rate than the others named "Skylearn". This school teaches all subjects online, and I am considering applying as a math/natural sciences instructor as well as in ESL. I would love to believe that it is true, but if it is too good to be true, then...

Has anyone here had direct experience with "Skylearn"?

(4) Most importantly, are there any online schools that I should completely avoid for whatever reasons?

All constructive advice and PM's STRONGLY welcomed and appreciated!
