how does one by private or supplemental insurance?
I'm here, I have an ARC, NHI, all that. I want more insurance though. Anyone know how to go about getting it? I don't mean travel insurance, I know how to get that. I mean private insurance through a Taiwan company.

I would suggest you go to www.medibroker.com. If that link's dead (I haven't tried it in a while), google "william russell," which is the insurance company behind Medibroker. I've had insurance with them for years; it's reasonably priced, and gives good coverage while you're abroad.
