|
|
Hi, I'll be in Indonesia doing a CELTA course in May. I'd like to get a teaching job over there but I'd prefer it to be outside Jakarta. So far the cities I like the sound of best are Padang and Yogyakarta. I've applied to Elite English Institute Padang and Real English Yogyakarta (though the mixed reviews and tales of them messing up people's work permits scare me a bit.) Does anyone know any other good schools in these cities? If anyone works there and could tell me what it's like that would be awesome too.
Thanks guys. |

Is Elite English in Padang still going? I'd heard their school building collapsed in the September quake. |

EF will be reopening in Padang late this year I believe. I know EF is not often the popular choice but choosing to go back and start again there is good for the city and the people.
I am sure other schools will be doing the same or already are. |

Interesting. Elite used to be EF Padang but went their own way about a year ago when their franchise expired. Last I heard - which was before the earthquake - was that Elite were paying the princely sum of Rp5.5Jt which I imagine even EF could beat. |
