Realistically on an untaxed salary of approx 1750 pounds a month it is possible to save about 1650 a month.

If you want to ask me how it is then you can PM me.

And do these ex-Bell teachers save more over a year contract Sharter?

Bear in mind that if you don't have property to stay in, you would be shelling out for hotels etc everytime you are on your 3 weeks leave.

The Bell salary allows you to save approx 80-90% of your income per year, if you don't have extravagant holidays in your 8 weeks off.

I am well aware of that Doner! 22.5k with Bell opposed to 30k with someone like Sirte. But with Bell there is nothing you need to shell out money for. Everything is provided.

Without sufficient accommodation outside Libya, a contract with Sirte could mean you have 17 weeks of outgoings a year spent on a place to stay.

Maybe there isn't much difference in the 2 contracts re amounts saved over a year. This is what I am trying to establish.

Feb. 16th, 2010

GENEVA Libya is barring and threatening to expel visitors from 25 European nations in a bizarre escalation of a dispute that began two years ago when Switzerland arrested leader Moammar Gadhafi's son on suspicion of beating his servants.

Anyone affected by this yet?

Ok,
Regarding Shengen, any members of Shengen are barred from applying for visa's, EXCEPT Italy and Malta (two more countries under discussion).
USA have a heck of a struggle to get a visa.
Canadians are a bit hit and miss at the moment.
Turkey can turn a visa round in 1 day
Mexico can turn a visa round in two days
UK can turn a visa round in 5 days (royal mail) 7 days (personal collection) or you can pay GULF to do it for you, they range from 2 - 4 days.

Will update y'all as and when things change.
