I'm trying to revamp my resume, and thus asking for opinions.

Two years ago, before coming to teach abroad, I completed the Oxford Seminars TESOL course. Many of you probably know it -- sixty hours, no rules about attendence, no practice on real students. The course itself does have some good points, but it's considered below industry standards as far as finding jobs is concerned.

Last summer I did a proper TESL course (120 hours, onsite, with ten hours of practice teaching on real students).

Now, my question is, will including the Oxford Seminars course on my resume along with the other course make me seem like a better canidate for a job, or a worse one? I get the feeling that Oxford Seminars is a common enough cert course to have built some sort of a reputation, and if it isn't a good one, I'm afraid it will set off red flags. Or will it likely make very little difference?

Thanks in advance for answering.

IMO, I would include both. As an employer, I would regard this as you showing the initiative to to improve your qualifications and skills.
