Does anybody know how much IH Minsk pays? (For experienced CELTA qualified teachers.)

To respond to a couple of points. I've found Minsk people extremely helpful to strangers, young and old.

As for being surprised that you need a visa to get to Belarus: unless you're in a particular bloc, such as the EU, of course a visa is needed. The only logical cause I can see for such confusion is that citizens of CIS (countries from the former Soviet Union) can travel within it without a visa and therefore foreigners may think they have the same freedoms. Don't people look at governments' web sites before they start travelling?
