About an hour and a half from Muscat to Nizwa and then another hour to Ibri, longer if you get stuck behind trucks on the single lane highway.
Beautiful drive though......

From Muscat (AsSeeb) to Nizwa is 137km, and you drive along an excellent dual lane double carriageway.
From Nizwa to Ibri via the Bahla Road, is another 135km, this time a single carriageway. If there is a low traffic load, you can achieve 120kph.
However, it's always taken me about three and a half hours to drive.
There are buses from Muscat to Ibri (leaving at 7.00am and 3.50pm) which cost OR3, or from Nizwa at OR2 (prices 2 years ago!) |
