|
|
Hi out there,
I'm considering a one year contract as Senior Teacher role within our private language school where I've just completed my first year. Could someone possibly give me a guesstimate of what a Senior Teacher role pays? I have an English Language degree + CELTA + I've just started the first module of a Master of TESOL. Many thanks. |

Where are you located? If in BJ, SH or any other modern big city salaries tend to be higher. What are your responsibilities as a Senior Teacher? Will you be training new staff, writing weekly reports, dealing with student complaints, engaging in marketing and promotional ventures, writing lesson plans and expanding the current curriculum, are you working for a local Chinese outfit or a large multinational language training chain?
All these questions need answers before anyone can give you a guess as to how much you can get in terms of salary. |

Hard to say.
In my school, the senior teacher (me) gets around 12,000RMB a month, before extras (housing, airfare, etc.)
Gotta work for it though, I'll tell ya that! |

Need more info about your location etc. To state the obvious somewhere between a teacher's salary and your immediate boss's salary.
