I never thought I'd say this. "Thanks Ghost"

Not every one agrees with Ghost, but I certainly think that he has the right to say how he feels. Some people do agree. I've heard other people voice some of the same complaints and although I didn't understand where they were coming from, I now see that there are several people who feel that way. They might be people who are misinterpreting the culture, or people's whose personality just isn't in tune with the Turkish vibe (so to speak), but nevertheless their feelings are real and there is an actual group of people who feel this way, beyond Ghost. Often people are intimidated out of expressing their negative opinions, but everyone has a right to know that they could end up feeling this way should they decide to live in Turkey. Or if they are living there, that they are not the only one with bad days.

I often hear negative comments about my dream country (India), but I continue to believe that it's because of the personality differences of those specific individuals and that I would be very happy there. I feel that all the warnings have certainly helped prepare me to get through the culture shock, and forced me to admit that there are good and negative elements to the culture that I admire so much, just like in every single culture around the world. I'll take it, the good and the bad. That's how true love is - unconditional and a little blind. But you can't force someone to love somebody that they don't, and that's okay too.

I think that Ghost has some good points and has made fair warnings, but I think that he's also a little one sided.

Hi R M

I think it was brave of you to defend a certain poster ,but I think you are in a very small minority, most of us are glad to see the back of him . No doubt he will respond to this in his usual one sided style .
