oh gee don't get me started on Cinta Laura.

There's a short clip of her on youtube, doing a school project at JIS with her classmates and she doesn't have that stupid accent of hers at all. So I think half the time its faked.

As for haid being pronounced like "hide" I don't think so.


its more like .... ha-id ... I can't see it being similiar to hide at all.

Another Indo/JVN habit that really used to get me cringing was their habit of the rolling 'r's.

Examples:

"Hello Misterrrrrrr."

"Minta burgerrrr, dong; pake ciz."

Thank God I don't have to listen to that anymore. Anybody else get driven to slitting wrists by this ?
