What in general is the teaching like there , vis a vis (if you like) KSA? Are salaries livable? What could one save/month if living frugally? |

Syria is not a place where one goes to save money. It isn't oil country. With luck and some hustle, one can live on the local economy, but these days that probably depends on how much inflation the influx of Iraqi refugees has caused.
See the thread Basil refers to... the biggest problem for those that I know who taught there was the elusive work visa... the visa runs get tiresome.
