| Health coverage is surely a concern, but unless one has any particularly outstanding health issues to deal with, I wouldnt let THAT aspect influence a retirement decision too heavily. |

| I would. As you get older you will suffer health problems. |

For non-EU citizens to retire in most EU countries, they are required to obtain health insurance as one of the conditions for obtaining their residency permit.
Quite sensibly so too.
I can't imagine imagine it would take Turkey long to catch on, if it hasn't already. |

| No doubt, and many countries will be upping the ante not just in retirement requirements but in things like minimum qualifications, health checks, bank account requirements, (home and in the host country), etc. Methinks this whole ESL market will not be attractive at all in the near future, the screws of The Global Requirements are tightening quicker by the hour. |

Spent some of the happiest days of my life on the Lycian coast, sailing to Phasilis, swimming ashore to explore the ruins...sheer magic.
So many Greek and Roman ruins..many untouched(Olympus was one) wild tortoises along the Lycian Way and the Taurus mountains as a backdrop to some wonderful coastal areas. The Efes Pils is good too but stay away from the raki, it rots your mind.
Lovely people too.
Oh and wash the veggies/fruit before you munch. Mr E is right, a Mediterranean diet is pretty good.
Everyday
I am Mr K
