First post on the Saudi board, and I just wanted to thank the

coterie of fine posters here for your collective wisdom. It has been

helpful, to say the least . I have one question, the answer to

which I have not been able to find yet. At the DC embassy,

will it be a problem to apply for a proper work visa if you

have just finished a year in KSA working on a 90 day business visa?

The stamps are in my passport obviously, and I am not

sure if I get "credit" for a year completed without iqama. Thanks! |

I have been in and out of Saudi a few times.

You should have gotten a letter of no objection.

Personally, my previous employers have never issued me anything

and some of them just flat out refused.

So if you have never been issued a work visa,

then it is no reason to tell the embassy anything.

I just check never worked in Saudi box

give them my two money orders and keep quiet.

In the future, please have a guaranteed letter of no

objection in your contract. ...Just to be on the safe side.

So look at your passport and if you only have visitor visas

stamped and NO work visas in your passport

then just check.. never worked in saudi before..and keep quiet |

				Dear Demigod,

Sounds like the renowned author of THE DEAD MONKEY gives pretty good advice. Mums the word.

Regards,
