|
|
I am currently teaching in CHengdu, and I came from the north of China where I was teaching. I am on a tourist visa now which expires in 1 week. I have been at my school for 2 weeks, in this time they have been applying for my Z visa here in Chnegdu so I can go to Hong Kong to get it. Today they told me that the application failed as i have only 6 months experience and I need 1 year. They want me to go to Hong Kong to get an F visa, does anyone know how much F visas cost there? I would have thought I could get an F visa in Chengdu also?
Also has anyone used this company:

As stated, you don't qualify for a Z visa.
In addition, you are not entitled to work with an F visa. Specifically related to an F visa, you are not legally entitled to receive a salary. |

Wait, newbie here. They deny you a work visa if you have less than one year of experience? Is that even true, or is this a lie to save money? |

"Technically", it is true, but there are ways around it. Depends on the employer's connections. |

While this depends on circumstances and connections of your employer, it's also worth knowing that penalities for visa-related corruption has become much more serious over the last two years.
I know for a fact that it was very possible to get around the requirements of work experience/BA two years ago in Guangdong. Now it's nearly impossible. |

Extend your L visa at the local PSB and go find another job. You are being screwed over. All visas cost the same, they just have different privileges attached. If the PSB won't do it for you, you will need to hop a train to Shenzhen, jump across the border into HK and get a new L visa.
Better hurry. The fine for overstay is not cheap! |
