our school has a distance learning program with a school in Taipei.
The classes have forty students each, and all of the students are girls.
I am looking for teaching ideas. If anyone has done distance learning before, please post. |

What a challenge! What level? All written or are you hooked up via web cam? Is there a curriculum? A text book? I've taken lots of distance courses but never a foreign language. I've done some things where the students had to write to each other through me (actually 2 classes in the same school but it would work for distance) for example: write about your family, read the other student's essay about her family then ask (write) questions about her family, answer the questions, etc..... I numbered the papers so that they did not know who they were writing to... lots of photocopying:- a corrected paper back to the originating student and a copy to the responding student. Maybe the responding student can also do error correction.
Actually distance learning lends itself admirably to worksheets. Good luck. Please post and let us know how it works. |
