Next year I am planning on traveling to Northern Africa for a couple of months and would like to spend some time volunteering. Preferably teaching English, but I would really be happy volunteering in any capacity.
I obviously don't mind paying for my own travel costs and also my in country living costs, but I would prefer not to go through any organizations that require a fee to volunteer. I have a feeling that it might be easier to find a volunteer position buy contacting organizations directly, without relying on an outside service. So, I am looking for suggestions from people who live in or have worked in or traveled to any of the countries in Northern Africa.
Please give me suggestions about schools, non-profit organizations, animal hospitals or rescue services and any other community organizations in the countries of Morocco, Algeria, Tunisia, Libya and Egypt.
