hello everyone,
I've noticed on the job postings from ILA Vietnam that they offer the option to take a DELTA course. Does anyone have any information about this? If I worked at ILA would the course be free or discounted? I have five years of teaching experience in a wide variety of settings and I don't plan on stopping anytime soon. Getting a DELTA certificate seems like the next logical step. Any information that you could provide would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance.

ILA offers Module 2 of the Delta course - it's intensive and is 8 weeks and costs US$3500.00. You can do Module 1(examination) and 3 (paper) by distance if you want to.

Thanks for the info.

What is the difference between Module 1, 2, and 3?

I assume you need to do all 3 to get/finish the CELTA, correct?

The fee of $3500 is discounted by 30% if you work for ILA and book in advance, making it $2450. Further discounts/reimbursements if you re-sign a new contract afterwards. This fee is for all 3 modules - support for module 1 and 3 also, as well as module 2 done as an intensive program.

Module 1 is an exam - terminology, knowledge of teaching practice, materials anaylsis etc.

Module 2 is the teaching practice - 4 assessed lessons, two non-assessed. I wouldn't want to do it in 8 weeks, as you have to do a lot of research and write an essay for each lesson.

Module 3 is a specialisation. You choose an area (1-1, YL, exam, business etc.), research it and design a course. Big essay!!
