I am trying to start a creative writing group here in HCMC. The idea is that we would meet once a week for about two hours on a weekday evening. Half the session would be people reading out things they are working on. The other half could be writing exercises to get people putting pen to paper.
Anyone, from beginner to more experienced, would be welcome. It would only take a handful of people to get the ball rolling on this.

Thanks to the new people who have replied. There are five people interested so far. I'm going to try to get one or two more then we should be able to get a start date.
To hot rock and micro I can't PM anyone yet as I haven't made enough posts so keep checking this thread. And thanks to micro for the offer of a place to go for one meeting.
I'm searching for a venue at the moment so if anyone has any ideas give me a shout. A quiet cafe would be best but a cheap room we could hire for a couple of hours would be even better.

A quick update. I have found a private room that we can rent for 250,000 Dong for two hours. It's pretty big and we will have it all to ourselves. All we have to do is move the tables around. Its the top floor of the Sozo cafe in Pham Ngu Lao.
I have also found two other people who are interested in coming. Because of work and other commitments the time I have in mind is 8:30 until 10:30 on Wednesday nights. I hope all of you can make it at that time.

I'm afraid I cannot make wednesday nights as I have football training. I would be extremely keen to attend at another time...though TBH I do mostly work evenings. But let me know how it's going and I may miss football, say, once a month, or if I'm injured/hungover!

Shame about that hot rock but whichever day we do it someone won't be able to come. But keep checking this thread in case anything changes.

To anyone else who may be interested the limit on numbers will have to be about eight including myself and I am going to advertise a bit more this week so if you do want to come it would be best to let me know sooner rather than later. I already have two definate members so there are five spots left.
