I'm going to be in Tokyo in a month and am looking for a place to get a scroll made in Kanji. Anyone have any good places to go and get this done or know a place to order online? Kinda wanted it to be authentic and done in Japan, but I guess I'll settle if something is better but also cheaper.

See? That. That is what I don't like about people going to My Japan(tm). And I don't even live there currently. It's the blatant and willful ignorance that just annoys the hell out of me. I honestly don't know how Glenski hasn't started hunting people down by now.
And it still makes me want to kill it with fire.

| I don't know man I don't know anybody who speaks Kanji... you should probably try to find like a magic missile scroll or something at least then you could smite the baka gaijins with it... |

This is my 3rd time going to Japan, last time I was there was 2005. I just want a scroll with Bushido on it, is that making a mockery out of the country or something?
For the record I live in Korea now. Just a simple question. |

To be fair, you can get authentic scrolls with bushido-related verse and proverbs on them. I've got a few myself. It took about 17 years of martial training 2-6 hours a week and a relationship with a teacher to get them.
Antique shops sell beautiful landscape paintings on kakejiku, hanging scrolls, but they cost hundreds to thousands of dollars.
Some temples will write kanji in a keepsake book you bring to them, and others sell shikishi, the square cards with Buddhist aphorisms on them.
Failing all that, just marry the daughter of a martial master and inherit his scrolls.

Failing that, most any department store or even hardware store will sell the materials to produce them, and then all you need to do is finding someone who can write kanji if you can't do it yourself. What're the odds of that in Japan?! 
I actually know someone that bought the stuff at a hardware store and paid a clerk at a Narita terminal store 5000 yen to write up 15 hanging scroll-y things in her lunch hour. He sold them on eBay when he got back to the US for a hundred+ each. Genuine Japanese scrolls.  The one I saw said, "Narita airport is very busy today." Nicely written, too.  |

Unless I misunderstood, they literally want a hanging scroll that says "武士道" (bushidou, I don't know if kanji works on here). |

Scrolls come well-hung? Wait, never mind. That would lead to a lot of painful paper cuts. 
Seriously. XD I've got the painting supplies, some art and Japanese background. I'll make you scroll that says 武士道 and "Narita Airport is closed" for a reasonable price. ;D I won't even use crayons. |

I heard a while back about a tattoo artist in LA doing things like this... in ink... on peoples bodies.
Made me laugh quite a bit. |
