I was wondering if anyone knows how long you have to have worked for in order to claim the dole in Spain? I'm in my second year of teaching here and am hoping to claim it over the summer after my contract finishes...anyone know if this is possible?
Thanks! |

I'm not sure but I think you have to have 180 days worth of social security contributions. Bear in mind though that a day is based on full-time work. If you've been teaching for two years you should qualify.
I don't know the procedure but the best place to ask would be your local INEM office.
It can't be too difficult though as, unfortunately, 4.6m people are currently doing it. |
