My theory is that it's usually best to live near your work, especially in a big city with huge traffic situations. Time is more flexible on your day off, but not so much on work days. |
I totally agree.
A long commute to work quickly makes work just that: work. |
I just got round to realizing that after all these years! Although I drive everywhere (same jams, but more comfortable!) and therefore can get easily to the more inaccessable places, I now say: If it's Santa Fe, Naucalpan, Bosques, etc, SOMEONE ELSE CAN DO IT! |

When I returned to Mexico a few years ago and started looking for work, it seemed as though most job offers were in Santa Fe. After shlepping out there once on the bus for an interview, that was enough for me. When I spoke to other schools about taking some business classes for them, I always mentioned that I wasn't willing to travel to SF. Now I am happy teaching most of the time in my apartment. The only class I travel to is about a half hour away, door to door. |
