|

When we think we've seen it all, more things happen.
A large private school with the name "International" in its name with many branches in HCMC does not help teachers get a work permit. They also hired many that cannot get a work permit because of a lack of quals. Fair enough.
But now, they are insisting that we sign a contract that if we are caught teaching at this school without a work permit, we must pay the 5 million dong fine.
Some teachers have refused, one was sacked, and others are just signing the dotted line. |

| It'd be kind of nice to have the actual Vn document of the requirements (2010) that a teacher is supposed to meet in order to obtain a work permit. There seems to be quite a bit of disinformation circling about. |

Still feel loved? It is going to get worse. Do you really think they care?
Years ago a teacher died at a "large" school and the school never even bought flowers. They don't care. We are a white face for marketing because the Vietnamese can do everything better. Just ask them. |

is there any reasonable reason why this school cannot be named? Unless this is hearsay, which can be slanderous if unsubstabtiated, why can't the OP name the school? Perhaps I could email them and ask about this new policy......certainly that would dispel any doubts one way or other. |

Really? Im sure Vietnamese employees have died in America at one time or other, and the school/company didn't do some Vietnamese tradition either.
MOD EDIT |

I'd rather not be identified. But I will say what school it is:

I used the personal pronoun, "We." This implies that I work there.
I would not post hearsay. Slanderous? I named the school.

Do you think IPS management is going answer your questions or anyone's. Email? Phone call?
Have you ever worked there? |

| I know a few teachers that work there and it's true. Good luck to anyone that chooses to work for them. |
