I would like to know if in KSA they provide the same immunizations for children (under 5) as they do in the USA Question

Thanks,

The shots are the same, but I do not know the details.
I had a British Mid Wife and she was very helpful.
Iman Ali in Riyadh. I hope that she is still at
Dallah Hospital in Riyadh. Mrs. Ali contact number is (+966) 0562179695. (drop the zero, if you are calling from overseas)

I hope that your workplace will cover the expenses.
I paid everything in cash at Dallah(sp) Hospital in Ridyah.
Each shot range from 500 to 550 riyals.

Thank-you very much for the quick reply, it's good to know this, because my youngest baby is 3 months old.

Sincerely,

UmmKhadija

Each country has its own immunization schedule. You can access them at the WHO website.

Most of them will be the same between the two countries, but there will be minor differences. It will be up to you to decide which ones to get done and when, by comparing the 2 countries' schedules.

My 14 mo daughter is half Brit and we live in Saudi. We got all the ones recommended in Saudi done and according to the Saudi timetable. Then, there are some vaccines required in the UK but not in Saudi. We also got those done.

Your/your husband's job-provided medical insurance will cover them. And if you have to pay for them, I don't think they cost SR. 500 per shot. More like SR. 100 - 200.

Here:
http://www.who.int/immunization_monitoring/en/globalsummary/scheduleselect.cfm

Good luck!

Different shots have different prices,
I forgot to mention that, sorry
If you have a better Hospital with better prices
, please give us all details. It would help alot of people
If you are not willing to provide detailed information
besides a link, then you should just simply be nice and
read quietly. (Repeating the information)
Iman Ali in Riyadh. I hope that she is still at
Dallah Hospital in Riyadh. Mrs. Ali contact number is (+966) 0562179695. (drop the zero, if you are calling from overseas)
You could always call her yourself and ask directly, I know
she rotates between Jeddah and Riyadh.
Its not need to reply in in such a manner
veiledsentiments. I know the internet conjures up
liquid courage, but you should just help the topic
instead of attacking me..
Angry1, please have patience, I am finishing up
another story. Idea ..take care everyone.

What was your point demigod? You answered one part of her questions and Trap answered another. She also asked if the immunizations were the same as in the US and he provided a website that might answer that question.

You should have just named your hospital and given her a number...
My child is only 2.5 years old.
I know how much shots are at Dallah hospital in Riyadh.

The OP didn't say what Saudi city she is in (Washington State?), so a hospital name would be useless. A hospital number would be useless as well, because if you know anything about Saudi, the concept of customer service doesn't exist here. If you call a hospital, no one is going to recite to you immunization schedules (IF you are able to reach the correct department in the first place), let alone compare them for 2 countries. The most they can tell you is whether they have a particluar vaccine in stock or not (and when I had to call several months back about the PCV vaccine, it would take about 5-10 minutes of being on the phone just to get a yes or no answer, IF I got an answer). And I am sorry, I don't have the personal phone number of any doctor/nurse/midwife.

I don't like to leave important life decisions completely up to other people, even if they be doctors or midwives... any educated person must do their own research as well. That's why I provided the WHO link. It pays to make informed decisions and choices.

Your child is only 2.5 years old... so? How is his/her age relevant? 2.5, 1.5, 0.5, so what? If anything, when making decisions about small children's health, one should do all they can to get the most accurate information. Hence, the WHO link.

The point is that he is trying to give precise
information. He/she is also trying to keep his original
words valid. You should all just take all in casually.

At least Demi supplied a name and a number
instead of an indirect link.
..What are you doing Veiled? Why waste your time with
that post? If you want to hook up with Trap, send a
personal message. It was no need to post such a reply.
Why not just try to solve the problem or add inteligent
views from another angle.?

..Trap its no need to play .The" I am better
than you game. .give me props..."
No one is getting paid for posting information.
Relax
On the other hand, halfgod
you should have just ignored the reply.
We all know this Saudi board is just full of people
with problems. (Just read past posts)
Just send that person a personal message next
time.. Better yet, just stick to writing stories about
Saudi. ... Twisted Evil WHERE IS OUR NEXT DEAD MONKEY
STORY, DEMI? It have been months, since the last story.
On a serious note
Personally, I needed all the information posted here. So thank you for
the direct number and thank you Trap for the link.
To the author of this post...Just get the shots ..wherever you are.
The bottom line isif you do not have insurance, thent different hospitals may charge different prices, The previous three people should have typed that the first time around.. I hate posts that veer off the subject Arrow Twisted Evil

You are the one who attacked a poster for no reason... (which you have now edited out as it was uncalled for) and if you compare our prose, it doesn't look like I am the one who is taking a substance that affects our writing ability.

BTW... speaking of prose... it isn't proper internet etiquette to start up a second screen name to support your posts. It is called being a sockpuppet... and it is clearly obvious from your "unique" posting/prose style that demigod and angryblack are being written by the same person.

Dear veiledsentiments,

Don't blame Demigod/angryblack; The Dead Monkey made him do it.
Very Happy

Demigod was the one to comment about my reply to the OP, not me. So obviously, it was Demigod who felt 'outdone' due to my reply, otherwise he wouldn't have commented on my post. And if you really are Demigod, then you are the one playing the "I am better than you" game.

Here is some more advice you can follow:

BTW, can I have your post in English?
