has anyone else noticed how Vietnamese people react when they hear someone whistle? they find it so hilarious for some reason. anyone else noticed this? i wonder why

Once I whistled on a city bus (HCMC) and the conductor asked me to stop beacuse whistling attracts snakes.
Wouldnt want any of those pesky creatures sliding along through the traffic at warp speed beside the bus and jumping on to listen to my whistling, would we.
