Hi,

I am looking to work in the UAE and save some money.

I have a New Jersey cert. in secondary ed., 15 yrs. high school teaching experience (some public, six of them in some very good international schools)

In my youth, during the days of the "Wild East" I also taught a couple years of ESL in Eastern Europe and spent a couple semesters teaching in an ESL program at an Ivy League university (just one class per semester, not full time).

I have my MA, but no ESL certification.

My question to those in the know is this: does any of this add up to a reasonable shot at a well paying job?

Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated.

Is you NJ license up to date? Look at Teachaway. They advertise here regularly and have a website - they recruit for a Ministry of Education contract.

Do a search here on the recruiter, ADEC or PPP and you will get the lowdown on the pros and cons of the jobs. The money and benefits are very good.

Check those out and perhaps refine your question.
