Anywhere WITHOUT the following basically......would be a no-go place for me!!!!
beautiful women....cornish pasties...grass(the kind you walk on)....safe drivers...heavy censorship....rational thinkers....decent live music...hisorical architecture....competent management....people who respect queues and the use of body deo....banks and hotels that don't rip you off....lecherous pervs staring at your girlfriends chest.....buildings that are safe to live in.....places with more than two photographic opportunities...books...things to do at the weekend and places to go to...drifter bars by the lorryload...inc the rather lovely orange variety bought out in the UK a few years ago...
which is why I"M OFF outta the Gulf.
Destination normality...full steam ahead captain....! |

| There are tons of countries that I wouldn't teach in, simply because they don't have the need, they are very poor or poverty stricken. I think that the two countries taht advertise for TEFL teachers, but I wouldn't teach in are KSA and Korea. Simply because I've heard it's a hard life. |

| I would never return to Korea or Taiwan to live. It's not because I didn't have any good experiences in those places but because the bad ones were so bad. Some people love living in these countries and that's great...for them. There are actually many things I liked about both places, and some things (and people) I still miss to this day, but I won't be going back. |

ORANGE DRIFTERS
Why wasn't I informed? Damn it! I bet they've stopped making them too!
Ar$eholes!!
Anywho, amist all these countries people are blabbing on about, are there any countries that they wouldn't go to because of the beaurocacy rather than just the schools? I mean, if the schools were cool, I'd probably head off to Korea to get some moola coming in and then do Asia. As this isn't the case, scratch that!
I would like to do Thailand and Vietnam, but I think I would die there. If the driving and drugs don't get me, the language certainly will. It's so feckin' whiny!!! Have you heard them buggers?
LA out! |

Eijse,
I have vowed to LA that the search for the oh so mighty Drifter is officially on. And I haven't disappointed!
http://www.britishcornershop.co.uk/system/index.html
They've changed the packet haven't they? I remember a dark brown packet with 'Drifters' blazed in red font. This might explain the apparent absence over here.
PM me your address and I'll send you good people a few samples courtesy of yours truly.
(Next challenge is finding the Orange ones!) |

Why is it so important for you to live somewhere with heavy censorship? I personally prefer places with little or no censorship.
I guess you just like structured living? |

Its not the structure of the life that is the problem, it is the structure of the sentence! |
