|
|
Hey guys, I'm new to this forum. I'm having interviews with Aeon next week! So excited! I was wondering if anyone would like to offer some advice on what to expect or how to stand out to recruiters?
As far at the sample lesson plans, what are some lesson plans that appear most effective? I was thinking of doing drills on action verbs with note cards. I'm not sure if that's too elementary though.
In addition, if applicants do become accepted in the program. When are applicants expected to start?
Any suggestions would be helpful! Thanks in advance! |

Do a search for AEON (or even AEON interview).
There are threads that will answer all your questions |

I'm not to sure about AEON.
I have seen the website, but what concerned me was that part of the process was to be at a specified office for an interview. This means that if you do not live in LA you have to fly there. |
And? I didn't know it was standard practice for the interview to come to you in the US. |

From the AEON web site FAQs:

Q10 I am interested in teaching at AEON, but I don't live near any of the recruiting offices. Where can I apply?
A10 Although recruiting is done from offices in New York, Los Angeles, Sydney, Toronto and Tokyo, there are also recruiting trips all over the US, Canada, Australia and the United Kingdom. Please check the dates of our recruiting trips and apply through the office that will be most convenient for you. Applicants residing in Asia can apply through the Tokyo office. All interested applicants must attend a series of meetings and interviews before being considered for a position. Please be aware that all travel and personal expenses incurred during the interview process are the sole responsibility of the applicant.

So, yes, if you don't live near the office, it's up to you to suck it up and pay for the expenses. I've been saying this for over a decade now, and I'll say it again:
Read the company literature. It's usually available and answers many questions. |
