Fantastic Mark-o. I can now die a happy man. ( You sly devil though. How did you know I preferred the biscuit Boost(blue wrapper) to the original one (red wrapper)?

I'm owe you a beer. But not at the same time as a Boost or a Drifter. Chocolate and beer just don't mix.

I quite agree with you there! I would suggest a good old cup of English tea with a Boost/Drifter - it hasn't got quite the same impact though, has it?

Embarassed Darnation....confound it and flip it...

Seem to be getting my 'WITHS and WITHOUTS' all tangled up.
Add irrational thinkers to the list too, of things I"d rather not encounter.

Heavy Censorship......and the opportunity to know next to nothing about what is really happening around the city/country/world we are living in could be advantageous to the newsphobes around us. However I have to tell you that, fairly and squarely, I am a lifelong opposer to Censorship.

Indeed this very afternoon i shall be taking myself ...my placard and a life size cardboard cutout of John Pilger to protest outside the local newspaper offices ....or should that be local news"that we only want you to read about"office.!!!
Be there....C ring Road ...at 4pm....I'll be wearing flip flops and a Will Young T-shirt...just so you don't confuse me with anyone else in the vicinity!!!

The plight of the ethnic Albanians is probably best avoided - we even had an ethnic Albanian shot here in Melbourne, Australia that was apparently ethnicity connected. Albania is pretty torn up - there's lots of political unrest and so much violent crime especially in the North. Having said that, people seem to be under the impression that it's fairly safe if you're very far south.

According to my Macedonian friend, Bosnia is okay - just don't get involved in protests and stay on the pavement Wink

Re: censorship - I was in China during the avian flu and didn't hear about it in the country until I got worried SMSes from my family and friends. In fact, according to the news it was everywhere BUT in China (along all the bordering countries) - and all the chickens being slaughtered in South China were just 'a precaution'. Eventually the government admitted it in late January - but when in China I always watch the news with a grain of salt. I don't think the censorship is a problem for me over there, I just find it amusing - and when I can't access particular websites, ANNOYING.

...then again... the internet is so slow in China you never know if you can't access a website because it's denied, or because the browser got sick of waiting for the page to load and timed out Wink

Personally, I would consider seppuku before setting foot in Korea again.

Those obsessed by Drifter chocolate bars might like to know that here at my department Drifters are not a popular choice from the sweetie machine. Said machine is located on the landing a floor down from my office and is refilled on Friday at lunchtime. Invariably by mid morning on Friday the same sad leftovers dot the otherwise empty compartments, whose treasure of Mars bars, Jaffa Cakes and Bountys is long gone. Today, as usual at this time on Friday, the machine contains a few tubes of extra strong mints, a pack of wine gums and a brace of Drifter bars...

Could you please immediately despatch us this vending machine along with whoever stocks it to us here in Seoul.

Many thanks...
