I just accepted a new job and they're making me take igsce training. The training is free so I'm looking at it as a perk, but I don't really know how useful it will be. Anyone have any information about what one can do with an igsce certificate? Do most international school's accept this qualification in lieu of teacher certification or is this just me building castles in the sky? thanks in advance. |

I think if you're employer is paying, you'd be silly not to take it. Any certification is going to help you when you're initially screened against candidates with similar backgrounds.
I've seen a decent number of places requiring the certificate in physics, math, etc. FWIW........... |

I presume you mean IGCSE - the International General Certificate of Secondary Education.
The training is for anybody new to teaching IGCSE or considering teaching IGCSE qualifications. However, in no way can this be accepted in lieu of teacher certification. |
