Can someone speak to the possibility of an older female teacher. I'm 61, have a BA, a CELTA and 8 years overseas experience. Thanks |

I'm in my late 50s, worked in HCMC Vietnam for the past 6 years and see no signs of ageism in fact quite the reverse. Older people are respected, women are respected (by students at least!) and I have been able to find work very easily. Have about the same quals as you but a couple more years teaching experience. As long as you are in reasonably good health, know your stuff and can make the lesson interesting you'd be OK in Vietnam. |
