Libya has lifted all visa restrictions on US citizens, Libya's top tour operator announced on Wednesday (May 26th). The move follows the Libya -US trade and investment accord signed last Thursday in Tripoli.
"We fully support the reform policies of Seif Islam and the full normalisation of U.S.-Libyan relations, including the full lifting of visa restrictions on U.S. citizens for travel to Libya," Libya Expeditions chief Ryad Sunusi said.
Libya is home to five UNESCO World Heritage Sites: the Roman ruins of Leptis Magna and Sabratha, the Greek ruins of Cyrene, the Western desert oasis town of Ghadames and the Tadrart Acacus mountain range's prehistoric rock art.
