Would be grateful if any expat teachers could outline briefly what the paper work and regulations/rules are for someone seeking a work visa to teach in Indonesia. I've applied for a job there but my google searches haven't brought up a clear list of what paperwork I'd need to submit or my potential employer would need to submit. Thanks for any info or links you might have

Your employer has to request a permit from the manpower ministry who in turn give approval to immigration to issue a visa. In due course your employer will require scans/copies of your passport, degree and teaching quals. Some new applicants are also being asked for a medical certificate this year.

When you go to an Indonesian consulate to obtain the visa you will need to fill in a form and submit your passport.

Also, you can search and read or join and post specific questions about work visas on these two expat sites for Indonesia:
