I know someone who buys one bottle of full cream milk, pours half of it into an empty milk bottle and adds water to both cartons to make his own skimmed milk!

I also know another generous soul who refused to take part in a staffroom "bake day" as it would cost too much. This guy also thinks that 6 SAR per bottle, which he worked out his home brew wine cost, is pretty expensive.(?) This person would also arrive at dinner parties with a bottle of said home brew, offer no-one, pour a glass for himself, and keep the bottle on the floor by his side, topping it up when required. If there was even a mere drop left, he would take the bottle home. If not, he would leave it for his hosts to clear up!

I don't think it has anything to do with being in KSA. If you are mean, you are mean...wherever you are.

But we have to laugh Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy Laughing Laughing Laughing

Now "Uncle" Scot, I have a mind to replace my avatar with a photo of my beautiful half-Persian, half-American short-hair kitty. That'll fix you!

Sopranos quote of the day (featured previously)

Sil, to Tony:

Either you make nice, or you make him disappear. You got two choices.

No a front to you S&B, but you gotta know that 'Tony Soprano' is a homophobic, sexist, racist macho jerk not to mention a cold blooded murderer!
I honestly don't get how you would want to have such an avatar representing your personna? Your 'half persian kitty' would certainly be more endearing to you personna wise Very Happy

The guy got some niiice women in his time, though, didn't he? I mean, those Icelandic air hostesses; the crazy art dealer who burnt her pretty little face off fixing him some eggs; Annabella Sciorra, ma'ashallah, ma'ashallah!!; and they saved the best til last, Christopher's ex in Las Vegas who he does a peyote trip with...

It's only TV, but this is only Saudi Arabia...someone at work asked me if I was gong to stay here for 10 years the other day. The only answer I could think of was, "Not if it means going 10 years without sex." He didn't like them apples.

Jeez, SnB...jes' wait until they come after my avatar...um...wait...they already have!

Seriously, guys! Lighten up! I'm imagining that SnB is about my generation and doesn't have anymore respect for PC language as I do. Really??? "People of color"??? Are Caucasians now transparent???

My avatar reflects my birth date. We all have our reasons for the avatars we pick!

"working for the Yankee dollar..." is from a Leonard Cohen song...I can hear it in my head but can't think of the song title. At least that's where I've heard the phrase.

Back to the cheapies:

I had a neighbor who would not use his air con or electric lights. He would sit on the stoop in the fading light and read, then watch tv in the dark. He himself said he did it for the money he saved. He should have at least bought deodorant with the savings.
