I took these myself... just thought I'd share. Very Happy

On the Bridge between Dahiat and Shamiya. The tall structure on the horizon is the Kuwait liberation tower commemorating the Gulf War.

Corner store and mosque. (Curse you to hell for waking me up at 4am!)

Birds galore at the animal market! Trained budgies... so cute!

Still at the animal market.. I took a picture of these goat/sheep herders and came back the following week to give them copies of it. The guy in the green turban gave me his card so that he may repay me with a free sheep slaughtering... That was very sweet of him despite the obvious.

Multicolored chicks.. customer favorite. They die in less than a week.

Thanks for the pics, Ms A! I think we should do this more often-- wee photo-spreads of our local environs so that we get a better idea of what each of us is seeing each day...

You're quite welcome, Ms Y! If you have the chance, by all means share your pictures too! Wink

I'd love to see what it looks like in other countries! Very Happy

Shmooj,
I'd love to. Those are large places though.. anything there you want to see in particular? Any locations you can remember?

Amazing pictures folks! Anyone have any photography techniques (secrets) they'd like to share?

Sara,

Why not post a pic of the 'memorial' in front of the Olympic Center in Salmiya on the Corniche. I used to walk by it every evening on my daily beach walk. Bronzed Lincoln Continental or is it a Cadillac --- unique ---

How about that building that was under construction on the Corniche when I left --- the one that looked rather Indian style architecture - towards the shopping centers from the memorial. They said it would be a hotel.

Dear gingermeggs,
Well, they haven't figured out a way to "bleep" that yet.
Regards,
John
