I have a friend / former colleague who lives in Sohar and doesn't have an account on the forum. she is looking for a new arrival in town named Roddy, Scottish fellah, who has disappeared after one week before starting work. The fear is that he has
a: been run over
b: has been waylaid on the beach by some nefarious types
c: has gotten pissed and landed in jail
Perhaps not in that order.....
His name and passport details are now with the ROP who will search the hospitals and jails first....anyone know this guy? |

Very worrying - I know the ROP are very conscientious regarding notifying sponsors.
Has the Embassy been contacted? They have/had a good liaison officer called Faisal who helped a friend of mine after a mugging.
I hope it works out okay - any chance he did a runner?
