Japan was the first place where I experienced groups interviews. The concept is fairly new to me. Although being new it was fun and interesting.
I attended a total of 2. Okay the funniest thing happened in the 2nd group interview I attended. There was 7 of us in the room along with the School owner and 2 staff members. As the owner and staff members were going around the room with questions, an interviewee let out a little Fart.(Sort of a Short Popping Style Fart - NO Joke.) I was so surprised, but tried to prevent myself from laughing. It was the funniest thing ever. Lets get back to the topic: My question is are group interviews usually practiced in Japan? and Why do they resort to this way of interviewing people?
Thanks |

I've been in Japan 12 years and have never heard of such an interview style.
Panel format, yet.
Group explanatory meetings, yes.
Group demos where everyone plans together, but each performs solo.
Questions being asked to a group simultaneously, not at all.
Who offered this? |
