First, you need to do a search, as there is plenty of relevant information that can assist you.

Secondly, the manner in which you have posted your question- you come off sounding like a troll: re spelling, poor grammar, vague information.

Thirdly, your priorities seem to be misguided at best: Re: your dubious interest in working in either of these countries.

Good luck getting any approriate info from your post. Rolling Eyes I am just saying.... Cool

If social life is a major priority... I see by your posting history, you are in Thailand... where the single males of all persuasions head on vacation to escape from these two places. Laughing

The job offers are with the BC.. I am not a troll. I want to experience the Arab would but being gay it worries me.. I couldn't find a job in Egypt hence my posting on here and on the Libya forum.

None of the locations were my first choice but hey, that's life.

Just wanted to know where was better for gays as I am gay and without contact with other gays will make it a VERY long 2 years!

If you do a search you will come up with threads like this... which is just down the page a bit:

If this is your real name, you may have just caused yourself a problem.

I have no idea what life is like in Libya for a gay man....one of those places where they'll tell you that gay Libyans don't exist, I guess.

I knew gay men in KSA who seemed very happy with their lives, as long as they were discreet. Most of them had "wives" elsewhere who just never came to visit for some reason, so they had the advantage of married housing as well. In KSA, no one questions men spending long hours together alone, and having a male friend spend the weekend with you is apparently no problem.

However, as others have said, avoid relationships with locals whatever you do. There will be many opportunities, but remember that it takes just one little offense or slight or twinge of jealousy, and he can turn you in to the morals police or even just cast aspersions upon you to your boss. And, of course, you will be the evil infidel trying to subvert the morals of a pure young Saudi man. It's so dangerous that it scares me just to think of it.

Well well as VS said if you have made this post with your real name then you are surely in trouble. I'd suggest that if money is not something you are behind apart from ... then stay where you are and try to explore other parts of the world or wait till you get a chance from BC to move to places like Singapore, Philippines, etc. As there you have the freedom and laws there are less stringent then this part of the world.

Exploring this part of the world is an exciting idea but you realize the sad part only after landing here. A local can do anything and can yet get away from everything but an expat can do nothing and can still get trapped for anything. Choice is yours!

The Arabic "would" (auxiliary): هل لك أن and أراد
