Hi, does anyone know if this company is a good one to work for? I just saw the following job ad: http://www.eslcafe.com/joblist/index.cgi?read=21627.
I tried doing a search but kept getting a blank white page for some reason.
Thank you for any information . |

Well, a company which does not write the name of Al-Madinah Al-Monawarah properly in its advertising is not a good company.
Also, avoid Najran there is a dead monkey there! |

Thank you for your input 007! I'll avoid that company. I don't understand the dead monkey comment, lol.
Do you think I'd be able to find a decent paying job with good working conditions in Saudi Arabia? My qualifications are minimal: BA in English/CELTA/1 yr. of work exp. teaching adults in Japan though undocumented/American/female/26.
I've been trying to get a teaching job for several months first in China and now Saudi Arabia but I haven't been able to land a desirable position yet. I'd like to work for 3-5 yrs. gaining experience and saving money so I can go back to school to get my teacher's license and an MA in TESOL. |

Decent pay with good working conditions. No. You may consider the pay decent, but with your lack of credentials the conditions will not be good. Unless you are Muslim and have a strong desire to teach in Saudi, I would strongly recommend that a 26 year old single female NOT go to Saudi.
Your experience will not even count if it is undocumented. I would suggest that you stay in Asia for a few more years. Keep trying China or perhaps Korea. In the Gulf, the best jobs for women teaching university level require an MA in TEFL/Applied Linguistics.

Well, check the following links, and you will understand what I meant by the dead monkey:

May be, why not?
When an institution is desperate for English teachers, they will lower their requirements to get native speakers with blue/green eyes, and holding the RED/BLUE passport.
"Requirements
All applicants must have one of the following:
B.A. or B.S. and CELTA or TESOL (at least 120 hours)
OR
B.A. or B.S. and an M.S./M.A. in TESOL or Linguistics.
ALL APPLICANTS ABSOLUTELY MUST HAVE NATIVE-SPEAKER COMMAND OF ENGLISH and MUST HOLD AN AMERICAN, CANADIAN OR BRITISH PASSPORT[/b] (for visa reasons) "
http://www.eslcafe.com/joblist/index.cgi?read=21616
OR what about this:
"Q. What are the qualifications?
A. You must have a bachelors degree and be either a native or near-native speaker of English.
.What if I do not have all the qualifications?
A. If you have a degree, but lack EFL / ESL experience or certification, we may have a limited number of positions available whereby you will be given the opportunity to gain the necessary credentials to teach. "

Just keep searching, and avoid the isolated small cities, like Najran . |

Thank you so much guys for your insight! I'm going to focus on Asia instead since I just don't have the qualifications nor the experience for the jobs that would make living in Saudi Arabia worthwhile. |

Dear Teachers,
Do not be fooled by the change of name. The two companies are the same, and are advertising the same positions.
Please review the information posted about Education Experts to know what to expect from the new name they are using. |

You really have to wonder about an organization that doesn't even have the technical smarts to use a spell checker.

There are red flags all over this one, from the blank page to the misspellings in the advertisement itself. Heed 007's warnings, monkey and all, and listen to the wisdom of VS: avoid smaller town postings with companies that are not well-known and respected. |
