Yes, it was oh so satisfying. I am sooooo glad that Germany beat the pants off them, otherwise Maranodona(not a typo) would have been whining about bad refs, or bad calls, or somehow blaming it on someone else. OnceMexico was out I was rooting for Brasil, then when Brasil was out, I was rooting for Ghana, now I guess if Spain wins this afternoon, I will root for Spain to win the whole banana, though I have a feeling the final might just be Holland/Germany. |

So they are not feeling badly. They are well. It`s good they are beaten well and not badly. I would hate for them to feel badly after having lost. |

For a proper English lesson on being beaten well, one simply needs to cue up the Germany game. |

Strange? After the World Cup, Mexico has dropped 7 places in the FIFA rankings (to 24), but England has risen one place (to 7).
Who'd've thought? |

Mexico did lose two games, whereas England lost just one. Moreover, the team that beat Mexico were soundly thrashed by the team that beat England.
There is some logic to it. Not much. But some. The rankings are pretty meaningless generally though. Not that many people pay them an awful lot of attention. |
