I am quite used to cold winters, -40+ Centigrade is quite normal for me! I am more concerned bout the school, the admin and what not. I did search and read about the Changchun, most say it can be quite boring, but I am not looking for a hot nightlife spot, more for a good teaching position
Thanks,

Here is the scoop on most "international schools" the students will be going to study abroad at some no-name "business" college in the u.s. / u.k. / aus / europe.
You will be required to cram some kind of business subject down the throats of these Chinese students who 3/4 of probably wont understand 3/4 of what you are saying.
The administration will probably will all over you, the students will probably be from very rich families, resulting in extremely poor students because they have been spoiled to death, which is why the administration will be all over your shit to pass them / be entertaining as possible while still teaching the text book, to keep the rich kids half interested so they don't complain to mommy & daddy & mommy & daddy don't complain to the administration.
That is as brutally honest as your going to get it, im sure many others with CIBS(Chinese international business school) experience can relate. Obviously there is top tier & bottom tier, I only have experience with bottom tier.. |

Utah- This is an IBO: k-12. It is highly unlikely that they are teaching business subjects to school aged children. Plus, a lot of the students are children of expats.
I think you are talking about a different institution all together. |

Are the children of expats all German, because it seems to me on my trips to Changchun that Germans in Changchun outnumber Americans and Brits about 10 to 1. (lots of Germans work in Changchun in the auto industry) |

MisterButtkins,
I am sure there are quite a few German students there, but there is a German school in Changchun as well. I am guessing most of their offspring go here: http://www.dis-changchun.com/

Be careful. Scams abound in Changchun.. Definitely check with current teachers. |
