Hi guys and girls
I need urgent advice on a reasonably comfortable and reasonably priced hotel in the area close to Capitn Haya in Madrid for a young couple for a week or so in a week or so's time. They will be TEFL-job hunting.

Any advice very gratefully appreciated.

Thanks a load.

Best

Don't know any hotels up there, but they could try Loquo Madrid (website) for short term flat rentals if they are on a budget: it's also a lot easier to dress up smart for interviews from a real flat than a hotel room. There are tons of short term rentals around this time of year as teachers leave for summer camps. Do make sure they realise that a good many schools close up shop over the month of August though: July or September are the best times to look.

Hi M

Your suggestions appreciated. They tell me, however, they'll be spending a week there and are prepared to spend up to 400 euros for 7 or 8 days. They actually prefer a hotel to renting a flat. Mystery to me.

What's important is the location, apparently; close to Capitan Haya.

Any recommendations from others out there.

Again, help would be appreciated.

Best
Basil
