|
|
Hello, I've been offered a teaching position with NIT in Jeddah and have read some of the reviews about Jeddah although they're a bit dated. I was wondering if anyone has any information about this school and whether it's a good position to take. I've been offered 9400 AED...I do have over 1 year teaching experience and a BSc. degree and will be CELTA certified before the position begins in September. Any information/advice/etc. is welcome.
Thanks in advance |

Thanks for your reply. How is the Director of the school? Does he and the other local staff treat their foreign teachers well? How about the students...are they well mannered and disciplined or is it a free for all? What should I expect to be paid with a BSc. degree, over 1 year experience teaching overseas and a CELTA cert? Does NIT pay on time? Is housing good? Do they overwork the teachers? Is there provided curriculum? I thought it was a 1 year contract but was then told it was a 2 year contract, which I'm hesitant about. What was your experience like or what have you heard about the school? I've applied to other schools and definitely want to keep my options open. Thanks again for your help. Much appreciated. |

I'm supposed to have an interview with them. What did they ask?
And don't you mean 9400 SAR? AED are for the Emirates. |

my mistake, i meant 9400 SAR. i've been informed by a few helpful people on here to really watch out for certain schools. make sure you have a look at some of the postings on here, especially with a school who's given you an offer. best of luck! |
