The recruiter I have been dealing with on a daily basis for the past 2 weeks has suddenly disappeared. She had secured a job for me at a university in Ezhou. It has only been 48 hours since she last emailed me. Should I worry?

You mean that people aren't allowed to take a day off, go shopping, have computer problems, die, choose to respond to other people first, and so on? The job has been secured as you state - you are hardly the priority now.
