Hello all,
I am interested in teaching English in China. Mainly, I want to experience communism, as I see this as the ideal form of social organization. Volunteering to teach English somewhere is my way of contributing, as it were. Would anybody be willing to share their ideas regarding locations, and or schools, nicely suited for this?
Thanks in advance.

You should also look into applying for a position in the Obama government. |

Ridiculous post.
Obama's administration and leadership is hardly communist. |

It seems that our schools got so bad under Bush that people don't know the distinctions between the most basic forms of government anymore. Lovely.
gnodgnol - The language of your screenname is making me a bit suspicious about what you're really after. |

"gnodgnol "- equals "longdong" backwards ...... Maybe you need a different username to be taken seriously ?
China is no longer a communist country.
Volunteers, in my opinion, just work to put money in their Chinese bosses pockets. Why do you want to work for free to help a Chinese person become richer ? |

Woh. rogerwilco = ocliwregor backwards. No, seriously though, what a crazy coincidence.
As I suggested in my original post, the reason I want to volunteer, is rooted in my communist ideals. I want to give back to the community, participate, whatever....not feed the capitalist system.
So, if anyone has anything to share, with reference to the original post, I'm here!
Thank you.

Maybe try a kibbutz?
There aren't too many communes left.
You could try searching for orphanages or places that rely on volunteers such as http://www.guilin-yangshuo.com/VET/index.html
Chances are if you are doing something for free here, someone is making a few dollars out of you. |

Why do you think China is still a communist country ?
Many will tell you that it is far from communist now.
Have you ever visited China before ?
I seriously doubt that you can volunteer anywhere in China and not line some capitalist Chinese persons pocket.
Why don't you do some volunteer work in your own community ?
Probably far less corruption and exploitation in your home country.
Btw, I visited Cuba about 10 years ago. It was far more "communist" than China is now. |

North Korea should meet the requirements for a Communist styled utopia.
Maybe they have a few positions open there |

comrad. To join the party you must be ready to party. I suggest you practice partying before you come here. Can you drink copious amounts of white booze. Do you know how to drive around in a black car with the windows tainted black so people can't see you? You should practice saying everything with an introduction of I HAVE A FRIEND. Oh yes smoking is a must. You do it in secret but smoke. Even if you don't smoke you carry them and give them to people you dine with.
Actually the best way is to hook up with a multinational company. This can be done anywhere in the world today. Some are a little shady like British Petroleum at the moment but there are plenty here who will welcome you and your spirit of patriotism for the motherland. |

Are you serious? China isn't really a communist country at all. I find it hard to believe you seriously believe this and aren't just a troll. |

Hey all, thanks for sharing, even the doubters.
I've never been to China...and yes, I "still" believe China is a communist country. What kind of question is that? Who, in your minds, is running the country? Seriously. And North Korea is a poor analogue.
Also, if we're judging people by their screen names, however we want to read them, forward or backwards or any other way one might be able to imagine, I would've expected smutbagdisco to be the least likely to offer good advice....but he/she has provided the best info. THANKS. |

I find it impossible to respond to your post without insulting you. Please just stay at home and volunteer at a homeless shelter or some such. You don't seem to know the difference between one-party rule with free-market capitalism and a state-controlled economy.
