A question for the grizzled veterans (no EUers):

Going home for the first time in a dogs age, taking the wife to meet the 'rents and all that good stuff.

Am I right in thinking that shes OK with just a passport to get in under the Visa Waiver Program. As far as I can tell there should be no problem, but sometimes experience shows that what they tell you upfront isnt always the way it goes down.

Also, any other pointers or heads-up info that I should look out for? Customs woes etc.? Any advice appreciated!

Since Spain is part of the Visa Waiver Program, your wife can visit the US for 90 days as a tourist just on her passport (no need to process a visa from Spain). She just can't take a job, run for president, or anything like that Very Happy

Lennon's right. Your wife shouldn't have any problem, assuming her passport isn't going to expire anytime soon and that you're not going to stay in the US longer than 90 days (immigration in the US may want to see a return ticket). If you've any concerns, you might want to give the US Embassy a ring.
