Are there any opportunities to teach Summer Camps in the Middle East? If so, where would be my best bet? |

There is no such thing that I have ever heard of. It is so unbearably hot that everyone that can afford it gets the heck out. The idea of a 'summer camp' would be foreign to this culture.
Perhaps North Africa?
Sorry

Thanks! I'm in Spain and don't feel like going back to Korea for summercamps (yet again) if I can help it.
Thanks for the info. Thats kind of what I assumed. |

I think some rich Gulf kiddies go to Jordan for summer camps.
The British Council runs courses for them. |

Tiger Beer,
If Jordan has something like this, so also could Lebanon. You might want to check out both British Council and AMIDEAST websites.

If all else fails, there are lots of summer camps in Spain. |

You could try Hamas or Hizbollah. |

I am surprised that we do not have more of the feeble-minded volunteering for those nice camps suggested by Albulbul. |

Dear scot47,
I'd say that, unfortunately, they have far too many "volunteers" as it is.
Regards,

I taught art classes in a refugee camp in Lebanon two years ago, and was volunteering as an English teacher this past winter. If you're interested in doing a volunteer thing you'll have a whole lot of folks greeting you with Ahlan Wasahlans (welcome) - i'm sure of it. If you want more info, let me know. |
