Any information on this University?

I have googled "tianhe" and found nothing. Is this a part of Guangzhou as it suggest. Is "Tianhe" a district of the city?

Apparently Guangdong University of Finance has Unis/Colleges in Guangzhou.

Any info is great appreciated.

Tian He.......modern, includes sports stadium, metro line, shopping, great eat outs

Know nothing about the uni.

Tianhe is the "downtown", the center I guess, of Guangzhou. I have not heard of this university.

It's located in Longdong, an outer suburb of Guangzhou. It's a 5 minute walk to Londong's shopping district which has a department store, 2 supermarkets, 2 cheap DVDs shops, 2 bread & cake shops, a largish market, a pizza restaurant run by a Brit and his Chinese wife and a McDonalds.

The university is also a 10 minute bus ride to Tian He Coach Terminal (Tian He Ke Yun Zhan) which is the terminus of subway line no: 3. The subway to downtown Guangzhou (Ti Yu Xi Lu) takes 20 minutes.

Tian He Coach Terminal is also the place to get long-distance buses to Zhuahi / Macau (90 minutes) and Shenzhen (75 minutes).

Over the past few years there have been both good and bad reports about the university posted on this and other forums.

ps - If you do a Google maps search for Longdong Guangzhou and then move the map that appears down and to the left, you'll see the university's location; it's marked on the map.
