My experience with veterinarians in Thailand over several years has been very positive and the legitimate ones seem to be very well educated in their profession.

Consider taking your animal to the hospital at the School of Veterinary Medicine, main campus of Kasetsart University, Phahonyothin Road, Bangkok.

Good luck.

Similarly, Chulalongkorn University Vet school on Henri Dunant Road 300 metres from Siam BTS and Paragon. Centre of town. There is even a sign saying "Small Animals Clinic". As a teaching hospital, you will get top professors at low cost (or free?)

Thanks to you both!

Paragon is about 10 to 15 min from where I'll be in BKK. I'll make some phone calls since this trip will be over the big Mother's Day holiday.

I agree with your all's opinions of vets in Thailand. My local vet is great, but he just doesn't have the equipment (blood tests, microscopes for samples) to really figure out what's causing these symptoms.

Thank you, again!

Yes, you will need to check.

I know that all public unis are closed for teaching on Thu and Fri. The faculty where I work will be closed and locked. I don't know whether vet hospitals will see emergencies. It is a big public holiday. Hospital ERs will be open, of course.
