ME:
CELTA
1.5 years ESOL experience
British 20 something
No degree
Can I get a job in Cambodia?
Do I/can I satisfy relevant work permit/visa/other necessary regulations?
What pay range should I be satisfied with from a potential employer?
Some may baulk at the fact that I've not asked any questions regarding the culture or life. This information is important to me; however, I find it more realistic to find out which countries I am eligible to work in first, along with pay expectations.
Many thanks - all help much appreciated.
@Moderators:
I'm sure you will note that I've started threads in several parts on the forum asking the same questions.
I have read the forum's rules of conduct and couldn't find a problem with posting in this way; however, should I be mistaken please accept my apologies and advise me of whatever format is more appropriate. |

Yes, for sure.

$10 p/h is the going rate now, and many employers are taking out a small amount of taxes too (maybe about 10% or less). With only a CELTA you won't qualify for many of the high paying jobs, but it's possible to get some jobs for slightly more than $10 p/h.
Don't forget that VERY FEW schools will offer you housing, any sort of paid holidays, any sort of medical reimbursement, salary, flights, etc...
Good luck, and let us know if u make it here!!
