|
|
Hi ladies,
I have searched through the forum and have not come across an answer to this. Maybe someone living in Dubai could help me out with this one.
I will be in Dubai soon and was wondering if anyone knows how easy it is to find women's shoes in size 11 (Canadian sizing)?
I would be looking for conservative shoes (for work), runners (for running and the gym) and trendy heels and open-toed shoes (for fun).
Thanks for any information you can provide. |

Canadian is the same as the US? If so, that is rather larger than average. What is hard to find is larger, smaller, wider, or narrower, than average.
I wear very narrow shoes and was never able to find any shoes overseas. I brought them all from the US.

| Except for sandals, shoes in the UAE, are overpriced. Bring shoes from home or plan to pay 50-100% more for them. |

Shoes over here are usually measured by European sizing. For you that's about 43-44 (see http://www.i18nguy.com/l10n/shoes.html ). You might have problems getting shoes that big, but you can always ask. I usually have to ask if they have size 41 - they have the bigger sizes out back. Outlet Mall in Dubai has great shoe prices (dress, sports, hiking), and there's also Shoe Mart, which is full of cheap and cheerful styles. Dubai Mall is FULL of shoe shops - heaven Shoes wear out quickly here due to sand and heat, by the way. |
